A crimp connector is ideal for building custom wire harnesses or repairing existing wiring. Non-insulated butt connectors have a crimp at the end to ensure proper connectivity. These connectors are insulated, but caution should be exercised in the type of environment in which they are used.
Butt connections are a simple way to repair and establish long-term electrical connections. Place your wire in the buttock splice and make sure it is near the buttock indentation. Grab the wire coming out of the piston splice and tug two or three times.
For the smallest butt splice, use 22 "x 18" wires, the next size is 16 "x 14" wires and for the larger butt splice sizes 12 "x 10" AWG wires.
